Requirements for Vietnam transit visa for Venezuela visitors through Vietnam

Can I do transit through Vietnam without a visa?
Whether or not you need a visa to transit through Vietnam depends on the length of your layover and whether or not you intend to leave the airport.

If your layover is more than 24 hours or you intend to leave the airport, you will need a visa. This is because you will be considered to be entering Vietnam, even if you are only there for a short period of time.

- A transit visa: This is a visa that allows you to stay in Vietnam for up to 24 hours. You can apply for a transit visa at a Vietnamese embassy or consulate in your home country, or online.
- A visa on arrival: This is a visa that allows you to stay in Vietnam for up to 30 days. You can apply for a visa on arrival at a major international airport in Vietnam.

Venezuela citizens whose country is on Vietnam’s exemption list of visas to enter Vietnam will be free from visa requirements in a particular length of stay stipulated by the authority. You will not have to get a Vietnam visa on arrival in advance if you satisfy the following conditions:

- Apply for a valid onward ticket
- Strictly stay in transit area while waiting for the connecting flight
