Without visa approval, governments have no idea who and when people are entering their country and in a time where security and safety are high on the list of priorities, visa approvals have become even more important.

Vietnam is a country like every other and will expect you to have applied for a visa prior to traveling and entering the border. The visa process is straightforward and for visits under 30 days, visa’s can be applied online prior to travel.

Until 30 June 2021 ‘British Citizen’ passport holders travelling for tourism or business can enter Vietnam for up to a maximum of 15 days (inclusive of dates of entry and exit) without a visa. If you have a different type of British nationality – for example ‘British national (overseas)’ you’ll need to get a visa before entering Vietnam.
